Skin Care Set
This set is great, it’s good to gift someone who wants to start skincare. Everything smells like lemon, I think that makes me feel clean. The products are good and give you everything you need. My skin feels moisturized in the end result, but also not the most moisturizing. So it’s a good entry level skin care set to try and see if it works well for you.

The scent is very mild; while I wouldn’t wear it as a perfume, it’s light and not bothersome. If you’re unfamiliar with Yuzu, it smells like a mix between lemon, grapefruit, and mandarin. In this set, the scent is subtle, leans towards grapefruit, and doesn’t linger for long.[MY EXPERIENCE AFTER ONE WEEK]:[CLEANSER]: Not a fan—too drying. The other products help restore moisture, but I’d rather skip it. 2/5 stars[TONER]: It’s fine. 3.5/5 stars[SERUM: Decent. My skin felt baby-soft about 15 minutes after application. Not sure about long-term effects, but the daily effect is nice. 4/5 stars[EYE CREAM]: My favorite. It works great at reducing lines around my mouth when I get dehydrated. 4.5/5 stars[FACE CREAM]: Leaves my skin noticeably softer. Not sure about long-term benefits, but it’s great for daily use and had an amazing effect on my dry winter knuckles. 4.5/5 stars[FINAL VERDICT]:If I received this set as a gift, I’d be very happy. The scent is light enough not to offend anyone. Although I don’t care for the face wash, the other products are useful, especially for travel. The eye cream and face cream are my favorites, and if they had full-size options, I would definitely reorder those—though not necessarily for their intended use. (Seriously, wow on instantly plumping dehydrated skin.)Overall, this kit met my expectations and provided some pleasant surprises. 5/5 stars

Nice giftable skincare set for beginners or travelers
LAIKOU Skin Care Set: My elderly mother has been wanting to start a better skin care regimen and wasn’t sure where to start. This is a nice kit with smaller-size products for an entry-level person seeking to try a new routine, and I wanted to test it out for her. It includes cleanser, toner, refining serum, eye cream, and moisturizer. The box even lists the order to use the products. All items have a light citrus scent and I haven’t experienced any irritation. I like that these are smaller sizes so that if she doesn’t like/need a particular product, she hasn’t wasted too much time or money on that. It’s a great price point. Would also be good for teens just getting into skincare or for travel. I visited the Laikou store on Amazon and I’m not seeing these products in bigger sizes, just various gift sets. Something to keep in mind if you were planning to continue using these on a regular basis. Although many of the product names mention Japan, it appears this is made in China.

Good not great
I liked that this travel skincare steps had all the basics I needed- toner, face wash, serum, moisturizer and eye cream. The toner and face wash are my favorites, as they left my skin feeling very clean and refreshed. Every product included has a very distinct lemon smell, which I liked but also vaguely reminded me of cleaning supplies. The serum, eye cream and moisturizer were pretty mediocre for me. They’re not very heavy and didn’t feel like they did much for my skin tone. I do love the portability of this and how much you get in the kit. It’s great for traveling but wouldn’t become a go to daily system for me.

Nice complete set
For me this is a pretty complete skin care set. It’s a cute little box set that would also make a nice gift – not ostentatious or showy, but I think anyone with an appreciation for creams and cleansers would enjoy receiving this both as a practical set and maybe a little exotic seeming just because of the Japanese branding. And it’s nice that it also fully uses english on the packaging and descriptions – sometimes you’re lucky to get any at all and it leaves you wondering… wait what am I putting on my face. Not so here, the dual language just makes it seem like more effort was put into it all.The products themselves seem like good quality. Easy to dispense, no irritation from using, suitable for home use and seem like they’ll survive being tossed into bags for travel without being leak liabilities.

Great inexpensive travel set
This is a nice inexpensive 5 piece set of skin care products. It includes a tube of cleanser, a bottle of toner, a glass dropper bottle of face serum, a small tube of eye cream, and a very small jar of moisturizing face cream. Each one contains Vitamin C and several botanical extracts to help brighten skin tone and moisturize skin. My skin felt smooth, soft and moisturized after using them. They have a very light citrus scent (a bit lemony) that doesn’t linger. The full ingredient lists for each product are listed on the box – they are typical of most of the skin care products I use (for example, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, collagen and others) . These are pretty effective skin care ingredients and they are gentle so I had no negative reactions using these. This is a pretty good value for what you get, and the small size of the containers make them ideal for travel.
