Pricey but worth the outlay.
This is a first class steamer and although a little pricey, worth the money.We had a cheaper (but apparently still upper end of the market) one that gave out after about four uses.I was a little concerned about the small reservoir but the steamer will keep going for about 10 minutes and if it runs out, it’s very simple to refill and start over. It heats up to produce steam in under two minutes.This is a great steamer and highly recommended.

Finally living the dream of steaming my face
I thought I had already reviewed this item, but perhaps the review was bounced for venturing into “medical advice”, so I will not drill down into why anyone might want to steam one’s face in this review. Hopefully it is OK to write that I, personally, do want to steam my face (and have for decades), but prior to obtaining this PMD SilkSteam Pro, I never did so – not even once.The thing is, that it seems easy enough to steam one’s face w/o a special gadget. You literally just boil water, throw in some herbs, and hold your face over the boiling water (towel above to hold in the steam) for a bit, breathing in the steam and letting it hit your skin. Easy enough, but it also never happened for me. The kitchen is a busy place, I would end up explaining what I was doing or just yelling for people to go away instead of having a relaxing steaming session, and then, when kids were added to the mix, the prospect of having a pot of boiling water going on the stove for “me time” purposes went completely off the table (boiling water ending up on child is very bad).So, finally, this PMD SilkSteam Pro allowed me to achieve my facial steaming goals. It is save and easy to use. I can use it alone, away from the kitchen. Yay!
