Length is 70″, not 72″
This mat is not 72 inches long, it is 70″ long. I agree with others that it is as thick as described & comfortable , but it is difficult to roll up tight enough to use the included carry strap. Also, the top layer is too soft. I used this mat for a gentle yoga routine for the first time today & when I got up off of the mat, could see the impression of my bra clasp in mat, the impression was made through a tee shirt, not direct contact with mat. I’m hoping this will eventually spring back, but it’s been over an hour & I can still see it.

This mat is very thick; it’s comfortable, especially on a wooden floor for Pilates. One thing to note is that it is shorter than the average mat.
