Ordered Ginger Lip Gloss. EWG Verified. Unscented. No Fragrance. All of this I very much appreciate as I have allergies (Contact Dermatitis) and struggle to find products. Lip Gloss is creamy. Lips stay hydrated. Only reapply after a meal. Oceanly Sheer Lip Gloss exceeded my expectations. Prefer Ginger Gloss over the Berry. Ginger compliments my complexion. Highly Recommend.

Quality clean product
I’m SO pleasantly surprised !!! I have several of their other products and just discovered their lip products. This is such an amazing lip gloss!! So hydrating and pretty!! It’s not sticky at all and goes on so smooth. I’m so thankful to have a clean lip product!

Genuinely a good product minus a few flaws
I first want to say. I am not new to the plastic free movement. I have been gradually switching to plastic free alternatives for the last few years. I am a little lacking in the beauty department because while there are plastic free alternatives out there. Some of them are just not good. I was pleasantly surprised when I came across Oceanly. I was already familiar with Attitude (had not used any products but had heard of them before).First observation – they are quite expensive. However, this was not surprising as plastic free beauty is not very mainstream so this price reflects the market, not so much the product. As I said I am experienced in the plastic free movement and this is not just plastic free beauty but more or less the movement as a whole. As it because more widely accepted and accessible the prices will likely reflect.Second observation – the packaging is well thought out and frankly quite pleasing. You can tell they decided to go sustainable without sacrificing the appeal of the product which at first glance is the packaging. It’s easy to use and highly travel friendly. I’m on the go constantly so I have to have stuff that holds us. This fits my lifestyle.Third observation – this is where I docked a star, the product itself. The formula is a bit gritty. Which I hate in a lip product but I really wanted to like this. This does subside as it goes onto the lips and warms itself. I have a feeling it’s partially due to temperature. It’s quite cold where I am. The color is a bit light but I was expecting that. I have very pale skin and it’s pale on me but I expected that so not much a complaint just an observation. As for the formula, calling it a gloss is a stretch, to me it’s more of a balm. There again that could be temperature, in the heat it might be more gloss than balm. I will say for a sustainable lip product it’s quite hydrating. Most ecofriendly lip products I’ve tried fall short of helping my lips. I do have chronically dry lips. This is also not quite unscented but more natural unscented. Can smell a hint in the tube but taste nothing or smell on the lips.If you’ve read my long winded review, I’d like to say I did spend my money on this and I have extensive experience reviewing beauty products. I’d give this an 8/10. While the formula has some issues, it’s a lot less than others on the market. I am hoping to try their unscented lip balm as well as the other gloss in the shade happy berry but in due time. I’m excited to see more from Oceanly.Update:I’ve continued using this and as far as the grainyness goes it’s definitely a temperature issue. As it warms up on the lips the grainy pieces melt into the skin. This also passed the overnight moisture test. Meaning put it on, go to bed, and see how my lips feel when I wake up. They are soft and not dry at all. So for a plastic free lip balm that is phenomenal. I do wish they had this in clear though. Not loving the color.

My favorite oceanly product. It’s so smooth and the packaging is great. It melts onto your lips so just be careful with heat like don’t leave it in a hot car.

Disappointing
I love both colors that I ordered – Happy Berry, Ginger. I had high hopes that I had found a non toxic lip product that actually lasted. Unfortunately, they do not meet my expectations. I’m a bit lip gloss obsessed and expect to reapply, but I feel I’m constantly doing so with these. The color doesn’t last at all. I’ll use them up because I don’t want to waste them but I’ll be looking for something else.

Great for everyday wear
I looooove this lip gloss so much! It’s the perfect light shade of pink. I tend to not wear much makeup during the week (I’m a SAHM) but I do like to put this on before I go out to look more presentable. I like that there’s no taste or fragrance because that always bugged me with other lip glosses.I also have their highlighting stick that I just bought and I’m loving the look of them together (if you don’t have a fave clean highlighter yet – you should totally check out Attitude’s Oceanly highlighter stick too!)I’m a fan of this brand’s products because they value clean ingredients. I also like how the packaging isn’t made of plastic.If you’re on the fence, get it!

Beautiful colour but you do need to keep reapplying it several times a day. Staying powet isn’t great, but that’s probably why it is also EWG Verified because it doesn’t have any nasties to give it staying power.
