Very happy with this Instant Pot.
I am so happy with the decision to get the perfect multi cooker. It replaced my 6 qt crockpot express oval which I have had for years and loved. It finally died a valiant death and I needed a new one. I use it just about every day. I make shredded chicken every other day for our 2 dogs and I use it to make dinner just about every night. I have never had an instant pot and this one turned out to be a great choice. I like that the inner pot stays put when you stir, I like how easy it is to clean, as well as all things I can make in it, very versatile. It’s easy to use, heats up quickly and I like the safety features, except the lid tends to get very hot on each side of the handle so I had to learn the hard way to be careful of that. Otherwise, my food turns out great and full of flavor, and it’s not too heavy for me. I liked my oval pot and when I first saw this, it looks a bit small to me, but everything fits in it just right. It doesn’t take up a lot of space on my counter which is great since I have a small kitchen.

    Not Worth The Price
Not worth the price compared to other brands. Option buttons do not light just painted in faint white letters almost impossible to see. Cannot set temperature like you can on other brands for the same price or less. Only low and high available. Only high on pressure cook. Only high/low on saute. Way over priced for the limited number of functions and options. Much better quality brands available on Amazon at lower prices

A true Multicooker in a small size! And it’s pretty!
Finally, a mini instant pot that actually does everything it says it does and is super cute too. I have had instant pot since they were first introduced in all the sizes and before that other brands of electric pressure cooker including Cuisinart and Breville. Once I found instant pot, I never looked back. Loved it from the start. It has always been an amazing pressure cooker and yogurt maker but the one area where it seems to be hit and miss has been the slow cook mode and sometimes sauté mode. Part of that stemmed from the unclear instructions and what the different settings for slow cook and sauté meant but a big part is that it just didn’t heat to the proper temperature. This new instant pot not only pressure cooks it also slow cooks wonderfully, sauté is hot and it makes yogurt. It does everything it says it does! For the first time the instruction manual is super clear. There is no trying to figure out what everything means on your own. Temperatures are listed for the slow cook modes, and every feature is clearly explained. For those who have a mini already have you ever felt like it was a little too small but the 6qt was way too big. This new mini is just right! I can make just enough soup to last, and because of the wider bowl I’ll be able to fit a small corned beef in it without cutting it in half! Its foot print is a little wider and a little shorter the other mini but still small enough. The color is beautiful! I have Rose. So soft and muted but still pink! Goes well with browns and oak cabinetry too.I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this mini, it’s a keeper.

    Will not honor stated warranty
Would leave 0 stars if possible. After doing the recommended 5 minute water pressure test, the stainless pot was pitted. Submitted documentation to Intant Pot, and they would not replace. Even had the audacity to say I shouldn’t use it. They do NOT stand by their products. Will never buy from them again.

    A Kitchen Game-Changer!
The Instant Pot 6-QT 7-in-1 has completely transformed the way I cook! It’s incredibly easy to use, and it handles everything — pressure cooking, slow cooking, sautéing, steaming, and more — all in one convenient appliance. I love how much time it saves; meals that used to take hours are done in minutes and still come out flavorful and tender. The 6-quart size is perfect for families or meal prepping, and cleanup is super simple thanks to the stainless-steel inner pot. I’ve made soups, rice, shredded chicken, and even yogurt, and everything has turned out perfectly. The controls are intuitive, the build feels solid, and it makes healthy, home-cooked meals so much easier to fit into my busy schedule.Highly recommend — it’s truly one of the best kitchen purchases I’ve ever made!

    Good first impression
My first instant pot, and I already love her!I have yet to cook, and try some of the settings, I only wanted to make a review since I saw another comment on the bowl pitting after doing the water test. It happened to me too, I did not take a before picture but the bowl had lot of white little spots at the bottom. I added a bit of white vinegar to my warm soapy water, scrubbed the bowl gently, and the bowl is good as new! Vinegar also helps when washing stainless steel pots and pans.Looking forward to making some delicious meals!Update: I purchased a 6quart IP glass lid for easier clean up when making rice, or for slow cooking and this is now my favorite small appliance 😊

Not impress with lack of instructions and recipes….
Perfect size for 1 or 2 people. However, it doesn’t come with any instructions or recipes whatsoever!! …. You’re on your own to learn from your mistakes. Still burning my oatmeal!!!

Good for Steaming and making cultured foods.
I only use mine to steam beans and culture yogurt and natto. For these things it works great. My only beef is with the steamer stand. When I used it at first, it was too low. The water would steam off before the steam lock popped up. I had to bend the feet to make the legs taller so I could put in nearly a full quart of water. After that the steam works great. it might be ok the way it is for veggies which only need a few minutes of steam but if you want to steam beans, which is good for natto, then you will need to fix the steamer stand.

As a South Indian vegetarian, I was looking for something that could handle everything from dal to sambar to kichdi – and this Instant Pot Rio 6L has completely changed my kitchen game.I’m able to prepare traditional dishes like sambar, rasam, pongal, and even rajma-chawal with ease. The pressure cooking feature is fast and reliable, and I don’t have to babysit the stove anymore. It’s become my go-to for one-pot meals – super convenient, especially on busy weekdays.Cleaning is also hassle-free, and the build quality feels premium. The multiple preset options make it easy to switch between different dishes, and I love how it retains the authentic taste of our cooking. If you’re a vegetarian (especially from the South), this is totally worth the investment. Time-saving, efficient, and a great companion for anyone who enjoys home-cooked meals without spending hours in the kitchen.

Ésta remplaza a mi vieja instant pot. Sino, nunca acaba o empieza el time.

Another favorite of mine; so cute the mini 4 quart. I use it every day, Instant Pot comes up with new models different features but nothing complicated. The screen shows the time very clearly. What is there not to like. I wish everybody would get one the inner pot is wider , not as high but that is why I fell in love with it. From breakfast to dinner!

Last night, I finally had the chance to use my new Instant Pot for the first time after having it for about a month. I took my time familiarizing myself with various articles, how-tos, and recipes from different sources. Among the suggestions I came across was the water test, which proved to be beneficial in gaining confidence using the pressure cook function. Starting with a simple recipe that required natural pressure release also helped ease me into the process.I opted for the RIO 6qt. model, and so far, the control panel seems fairly intuitive. While the user manual isn’t the most user-friendly, I found plenty of excellent resources online, making it less of an issue. I’m still in the learning phase, but I’m thoroughly enjoying exploring this new and exciting way of cooking. An update after nearly two months of owning the Instant Pot: I discovered a couple of things related to the slow cook function that I thought would be helpful to share. For slow cooking, the IP’s low, medium, and high settings correspond to warm, low, and high on a Crock Pot or slow cooker. So, when following a slow cooker recipe that says “cook for 8 hours on low,” set your IP to slow cook for 8 hours on medium. Additionally, it’s essential to have at least one cup of liquid in the pot when using the slow cook function, making sure not to exceed the fill line on the inside of the pot. These tips have made my slow cooking experience more enjoyable and efficient.
