Full disclosure, I did receive this item for review. That being said, the company did ask for an HONEST review and that is why I agreed.This is a very nice knife set overall! I do enjoy the design of the block, it is sleek and takes up less counter space than a conventional block. The magnetic side feature is very handy! That being said, I can tell the top will be scratched up quickly. If you miss the mark and hit the wood, it scratches. This is partly due to the sharpness of the knives themselves, which is actually a good thing.The knives are sharp and seem to hold their sharpness well. I cook 3 meals a day, from scratch, so my knives get used every single day. I have owned this block for 3 weeks and haven’t had to sharpen or hone any. Although I do believe my utility knife will need sharpening soon.The weight of the knives is overall good. I’d prefer the chef knife to be a little heavier but that’s personal preference and it isn’t a deal breaker.The knives are comfortable to hold and overall very beautiful.I’m educated enough to know dishwashers are not for knives so I won’t ever be able to comment on their rust resistance! Hand wash those knives :)Overall I’d recommend these knives. They are a very nice set for the price! It was a great upgrade from the kitchen aid block we received as a wedding gift 17 years ago!

Beautiful Quality Knives
This knife set checks all the basic boxes for me. The balance and build are excellent. They have a full tang with three smooth and well-spaced rivets to ensure the handle stays secure, and a seamless butt that emphasizes their quality. The blades are extremely sharp from tip to heel, letting the knife do the work, while the bolster blends into the handle very smoothly making them easy to clean.They come well packaged and protected, each knife encased in plastic with a cardboard sleeve and a plastic tip guard. The beautiful magnetic storage block arrives in bubble wrap. The block is innovative with both sides containing a strong magnet to hold the larger knifes, and slots in the top for the eight steak knives and two smallest knives.Did I mention the block sides are magnetic? Only one side is needed for the included knives, leaving another whole side to hold either more knifes or small metal kitchen utensils at the ready. The block itself is heavy and well made with a smooth finish and rubber feat. It will look beautful and sophisticated in any kitchen.The knives cut cleanly and straight. There’s not much more annoying in the kitchen than a knife blade that tends to cut on a slant. I tried them first on a lemon, and it cut so cleanly there was little to no juice lost, even cutting thin slices.The Damascus style pattern on the blades is nice but fairly faint, which is fine with me. It gives them character without screaming for attention.The only weakness, is the set has, in my opinion, is the pair of kitchen shears. They have nice blades with integrated a hook-type bottle opener and a cracker/twist bottle opener. The weakness lies in the grips. They’re lightweight plastic and feel rather inexpensive compared to the knife set in general. I’m sure they’ll last and do their job well, but pulling the shears out of the block is a little disappointing after handling the knives. This is a very minor downfall considering the various qualities offered by the rest of the set.I would strongly recommend the purchase of this knife set to anyone that enjoys working with quality utensils in the kitchen, or wants to give a thoughtful and memorable gift that will last for many years.

Love these new knives!
I’m so excited to have this new knife set! I’m only giving it 4 stars bc the block is darker than pictured and is getting a little scratched already. I wished they put a better minwax type finish on it. The knives themselves are nice and sharp. The pattern in the metal is booshey! I wasn’t sure how I would like the larger knives being magnitized to the side of the block but I don’t mind it at all…it’s actually easier to pick which one I want.

I absolutely love these knife set. Not only are they esthetically pleasing, but the sharpness you can feel, and with a precision cuts. Anyone looking for a fresh chef knife set, that is amazing but also meets beyond expectations, then I highly recommend this.

Awesome quality knife block all around. Good quality wood, and the magnetic function works great. The knives themselves are great quality and sharp out of the box, and the Damascus pattern is a nice touch. Time will tell how durable they are but great first impressions!
