Great for smoothies but extremely loud.
This is a great blender for making smoothies. We find that it does a much better job than our Vitamix on smoothies (yes, we bought this in addition to the Vitamix, because the Vitamix did such a poor job with smoothies). For things like sauces I prefer the Vitamix. This blender also fits on the counter underneath the top cabinets with the lid on. I almost returned it because the machining was a bit off and the pitcher wasn’t sitting properly on the base, but then my husband took a chance by shoving it on with a lot of force, and that fixed the issue without breaking the blender. The main downside of this blender is that it is insanely loud. If you live in a household with someone who is really into making smoothies, and you don’t tend to use a blender for making things like veloute, this is a good choice.

El producto es para un publico específico que quiere tener una super licuadora sin que esta sea pesada. Yo la compre para mi madre que ya se le dificulta coger objetos pesados por lo que el vaso de tristan le aporta la versatilidad que se necesita.

I bought this to replace my blend tech that went bad after about 10 years maybe more. It blends good and it’s not as loud as my old blendtech for a fraction of the cost.

I bought this blender specifically because it had a 2 hp motor and I do some serious blending. Specifically, I blend a combination of frozen fruits, powders, and sliced up whole lemons – including the seeds and skin. Unfortunately, no matter what settings I use or no matter for how long I blend, even at the highest speed, the blender will not properly grind up the lemon bits and still leaves visible particles which are horrible when drinking. I also found that to get consistent blending, the water level has to be over the top of the highest blade which is really unfortunate as it means you have to use a fair amount of liquid even if you don’t want a full pitcher.I will give it full marks for cleanup though. I have had many blenders now and I add turmeric powder to my blends. All the other blenders would pick up the yellow tint from the turmeric and no matter how hard I scrubbed the container the stain would not come off. The Oster cleans up wonderfully and very fast.
