Packaging is important.
Candles are good, as advertised and best I’ve found. Seem to be longer lasting than advertised. Lightweight cardboard box containing product is flimsy but ok if Amazon delivers in a shipping box rather than a plastic bag. Candles arrived twice loose in Amazon plastic bag with box torn apart and contents a jumbled mess.Latest shipment arrived boxed instead of bagged and was fine.

Great candle, but an 8.5 hour life, not 10.
Candles arrived in good condition, nearly boxed, with all wicks in place. Please note that the wicks fit loosely in the holes, so they can fall out if you pick up the candle after the wick has been straightened but before it is lit.Unscented candles are an attractive white and do not give off a foul odor before or after lighting.I tested a freestanding candle at room temperature (70 degrees F) with no moving air. It burned very nicely and steadily. Although it was rated for 10 hours, it only lasted for about 8.25 hours. When used outdoors in Christmas luminarias and 45 degree weather, with only a light breeze, they lasted from 6.5 to 9 hours (some were not perfectly level so they burned unevenly and some of the wax drained away). I’m guessing that a cold candle burns longer, but not quote as brightly. I had anticipated a 6 hour life in the actual outdoor use, so I was pleased.The shipment and delivery were on time.

Can be ten hours… But
I bought these for emergencies. Took 3 of them and put them in different holders. Then using 3 four inch clay pots upside down to support a 12 inch clay pot, also upside down, to make a warming oven. With saucer to cover the drain hole. That is more of a youtube thing. Anyway, there was a difference in burn time. I believe that the holder made the difference. The heavy brass one with just a half inch deep hole behind the JOY letters of the front, of which the candle was to back light during the holidays went out first. The wax melted all over and it went out after 7.5 hours. The other two were in glass votives. One clear with some slope to the sides, the other one was a bumpy sided red glass ones that you see a lot of. The red one lasted about 9 hours. The clear one 10 hours. The wax was completely melted and clear to the bottom for it’s last 3 hours as it finished up. So, 10 hours under perfect conditions i.e. the right holder and no breezes.

Wick issue
These candles are great and burn for hours. The only issue is that the wix are not set in the candle and when you straighten the wick at the top of the candle it falls through. If there’s any space underneath the candle when you put it in the votive, IE extra wax from a previous candle the wick drops down and presents a bit of an issue. I ordered another box irregardless of this issue because they burn really well.

very strong kerosene/petroleum smell
I specifically chose this product because it was clearly labeled and described as “unscented/no fragrance” candles. The first batch I ordered (about 2 months ago) was indeed completely odor-free when burned – exactly what I wanted for my home, especially since there are young children and elderly family members here who are sensitive to strong smells.However, the second batch I received recently is completely different. These candles give off a (very strong kerosene/petroleum smell) as soon as they are lit. The odor is so heavy and chemical-like that it fills the entire room within minutes and gives everyone headaches. We had to blow them out immediately and open all the windows. This kind of smell is not only unpleasant but genuinely worrying for health, especially with prolonged exposure.I’m really disappointed because the listing still says “unscented”, yet the product I received this time clearly does not match the description at all. It feels like a completely different (and much lower-quality) item was sent in the second order.I hope the seller will look into the quality control and raw materials, because burning candles that smell like fuel is unacceptable, especially when customers are buying them expecting no scent. For now, I cannot recommend these candles to anyone who is looking for truly unscented ones.

Let it burn
I bought mine a while back and didn’t know how to use it so well because as soon as I heard a little spark sound on the wick and saw low flames I got scared about the sparking and gave the box away thinking it wasn’t that great but I kept one for decoration. Today I decided to try this one candle I kept all this time. I snipped the top a bit, the flame is low but it’s a long lasting Candle so I decided to give it a chance to burn in a candle jar and I was not disappointed. It burned all the way down to my amazement, no sparks within the hours as expected. So I went ahead and re-ordered what I consider now to be the one of the best candles for my purpose. What I found out was when I put the candle on a flat pillar stand the flame got taller. I can’t believe I gave my candles away. That’s not happening again. I ordered white and will order more in future.

Aber 11 Stunden draußen in einem Glas find ich auch sehr gutHabe auch die Kerzen mit Angabe von 10 Stunden Brenndauer bestellt. Diese haben nur 2 1/2 stunden gebranntZerlaufen sind beide sehrRußbildung konnte ich nicht feststellen

The first candle I tried to use the wick fell out. One out the box is no big deal but when it happens several times after that and every wick feels lose that’s not an error, that’s rubbish quality control. Do better
