Powerful and Reliable Vacuum for Pets
This vacuum has exceeded our expectations, outperforming even some more expensive models we’ve tried. It works effectively on both carpet and hardwood floors. We have two cats, so this vacuum has been a lifesaver. The only problem we experienced was a temporary overheating on carpet, which resolved itself after a few hours. While I wish the tank were larger, overall it’s a very efficient vacuum that I recommend to pet owners.

    I love my Shark
This is my third Shark vacuum cleaner in 18 years, so I can attest that they last. My last one was the Shark DuoClean lift-away that lasted 7 years. Last week it decided to die and thankfully Amazon can ship it faster than Shark can. I have three dogs and the only vacuum cleaner that I trust is the Shark. Tonight, I put it to the test. I found pros & cons between these two vacuum cleaners. My biggest pro on this one is self-cleaning brush roller. I have long hair and I HATED having to cut, pull, and tug to get my hair out of the old brush roller! This one picks it great! The brush roller in the front of my old one picked so much pet hair that I would have to stop and clean it out, but that did not happen on this one, so that is another bonus. Another pro is the fact that I can use all the attachments off my old Shark, which allows me to have double the attachments. It has a lot of power, and it reminds me of a self-propelled lawn mower that is ready to take off and it makes it a lot easier to push, not that it’s heavy or anything. Upon reading the manual, I found out the headlights will indicate if there is a problem in the color and pattern of the lights, talk about a game changer! I’m going to have to keep the manual around if my Shark starts flashing out a SOS code, although I don’t anticipate that happening. The vacuum cleaner picked up exceptionally well and I had to empty it out a few times. My last pro is the anti-allergen dust brush. One reviewer made a video that pointed out it would be great for blinds, as well as the top & bottom of ceiling fan blades. I tried it tonight on the blinds and it was awesome! The cons: the cord length is 25 ft where my old one was 30 feet. That extra 5 feet was perfect for me, so now I’m going to have to plug in and move it to other plugs. I used to be able to do my entire house by using two plugs. I don’t know who at Shark made that decision, but I would love to have a word with them. This vacuum is larger than my other and I didn’t think anything about it, until I realized that I couldn’t get it into a couple of places that I could get my old one. And my last con may sound a little odd, but dust cup release is just the opposite of my old one, so when I click the button, it opens the other way, which almost caused me not to get it in the trash can. That is something I’m just going to have to get used too. Overall, I’m pleased with this new Shark and I look forward to using it for many more years.

    10/10
We have a long haired German Shepherd and seem to go through a cheap vacuum nearly every year. Some do alright, others you can tell leave a ton of hair behind. We sweep usually 2-3 times a week and a mix of hardwood and carpet throughout the house. 3 rooms also have rugs. The setup is seamless and takes all of about 5 clicks into place to get rolling. This vacuum did a great job of easily transitioning between all types of flooring with just the push of the button. It is easily labeled to identify whether it is set up to sweep carpet or hardwood. I feel the weight of the vacuum is average and it glides nicely on all surfaces. Detaching the hose or the top portion of the vacuum for stairs, is very easy. The detachable hose also has great suction. I noticed it picked up a tremendous amount of dirt too, that I didn’t notice coming out of my carpet with the old vacuum. The only downside I see of it is the cord is not as long as my old vacuum, otherwise, it is fantastic.

  4. I like it

    Price better then my dyson
This Vac. Is great at getting the floors clean it’s very strong and you have to be careful want you run over the suction is great it will pull you The only thing I do not like is the cord is not long enough. It is a nice vacuum

    Great little vacuum!
The G4 Kirby I had for almost 30 years finally kicked the bucket and this is the vacuum I chose to replace it with. I was literally shocked at how much dust, dog hair and dirt this vacuum sucked out of our throw rugs on top of tile as well as our padded carpet in the bedrooms. The bagless container is so easy to empty and the air freshener compartment is a really nice option to smelling dirt or dog smell like the Kirby. It’s amazing how fast the container fills, but it’s nice to know this Shark is doing its job! Great middle of the road vac and easy to carry, if needed. Absolutely no issue putting it together – without even reading the directions. Well worth the money and definitely recommend it.

    Love it!
I’m replacing a 15-year old Dyson. The things I like about this Shark are the lift-away canister, the swivel cleaning head, and the cleaning power. It pulls so much out of the carpet, especially dog fur because of the silicon fins on the roller brush. The fresh scent is nice, but not really necessary to me, since VOC and air contamination are a concern. The cord is plenty long and wraps up nicely. The handle is comfortable and didn’t seem to cause my hand fatigue. Shark does it again!

New to dumpster in 8 months
Just another disposable vac.Purchased March 2025.Went in Dumpster Oct. 2025.Thats how long the motor lasts. Not even a year.To be fair: we have 3 ultra furry dogs.As such, i ordered extra filters and changed them once a week. I vac. Almost daily.Took to repair shop, they were nice enough to refrain from laughing at me when i asked if my disposable vac. Could be repaired. No. It cant. The motor is dead. The 3 “filters” are absoloute junk, even if they’re brand new, they dont do much. Which is why the motor died. You can not get replacement parts. It is trash. In the months i had the thing. I will say, thw tools are nice. And the self cleaning brush is nice.If you are a fan of buying a new vac every 8 months, then thus is the machine for you. If your only pet is a goldfish this might be the machine for you. If yu dont have kids. Or leaves in your yard, this might fit the bill.If you have pets. Kids, trees, or even the slightest bit of a messy lifestyle, save your money and invest in a Riccar. Shark is trash.
