Great candles, all arrived whole during transport
Pleasant smell. Lasts a long time, due to size and to slow burn rate. They burn well, and the fire doesn’t go out by itself, or get too strong or weak.Not too much smoke. Eventually, as the candle burns down, the top of the glass container gets covered in black soot, affecting esthetics for some. Still, there’s no risk of wax dripping, so they’re clean.No tunneling, but you do have to let it burn until all the wax is melted (no hard walls on the sides).The glass feels strong and substantial. I haven’t had issues with glass breaking during use or during transport. They’re shipped to you in sturdy, thick, well-insulated packaging.Since my area is prone to blackouts, I keep a lot of candles at hand. I also like them for smell and ambiance. I bought about 10 of these when they were on sale, and none arrived broken!If you lay one on its side in warm weather (which happened to one of mine during transport), then the wax softens and pools sideways, and can make the wick inaccessible. What I did was set the candle upright in a pot of hot water (in such a way that the hot water touched the walls of the jar and would soften the wax, but without there being so much water that it poured inside the jar). That reset the wax and revealed the wick. Problem solved.Amusingly enough, Amazon wants me to review this candle’s “taste”! I can’t speak to that!

Outstanding Holiday Scent!
This is a very nice holiday scent. The description of the scent is spot on. It is light without being too overpowering yet fills a room. It burns clean, even, and slow. I also got it at a deeply discounted price during Amazon days. You really can’t go wrong with Yankee Candles.

Is paraffin toxic?
update:I just finished burning this candle. It smelled nice and lasted many days. I also did more research on whether paraffin is toxic and it seemed it was possibly a marketing ploy to sell more expensive soy based candles. Paraffin is a petroleum based, non renewable material so that may give the plant based material an edge. Anyway, with what is going on in the world, maybe not a big concern. I feel this line of candles is especially economical as well as a good quality option.old review:Just saw videos on youtube saying paraffin is toxic and the scents in scented candles are irritants. Hmmm. I now realize why some candle brands tout the fact that they use a soy based wax. Not sure if that completely solves the problem. You still have the scent issue. I haven’t noticed any ill effects but, in general, I think we have to cut down on environmental toxins where we can as they are numerous. Well, do own your research, I guess.I did not buy my balsam and cedar scented candle from this seller and there is plenty of scent to my candle. The candle also lasts a good amount of time. What I do not like is that the scent is perfume-y. I was looking for a more natural forest scent to compliment the look of my fake Christmas tree, lol.

Best Christmas scent ever!
Yankee Candle’s Balsam & Cedar scent is my favorite Christmas smell of all time! We received the candle promptly and fully intact. It was well-packed and at an amazing price for the size! I haven’t burned this one yet but in my experience Yankee Candles burn slowly, evenly and fairly cleanly. Very happy with this purchase!

Ordered this candle before i went away on holiday for a week. Came back from holiday yesterday with the blues knowing i was back to work monday. Found my candle that had come while i was away and just lit it. Holiday blues now disappeared, i’m sitting here enjoying the beautiful christmas tree scent, its spread all over my large lounge and you can smell it in the hall. Its not overpowering but not one of those candles you have to stand over to smell. It arrived really quickly,and well wrapped. Thank you for getting rid of my holiday blues!
