Great sounds and easy to use
I have purchased so many of these devices, as I need a steady sound in order to stay asleep. (And hide my husband’s snoring.)I don’t want chimes, raindrops or rushing water or train whistles, I just want a steady whooshing noise. this one works great, it only has white (and other colors) type noise and fan sounds. It has a great volume control so it can be as loud or quiet as you want. If you prefer smooth fan sounds, this machine is just great. Plus the buttons are easy to use and make adjustments. Good price too.

Ours is going strong for 8 years! THE BEST PURCHASE I’ve ever made!
I bought this sound machine in February of 2018 and it’s STILL GOING STRONG! I loved it so much a came back and bought a second one two years later. This bad boy has been used DAILY and taken on dozens upon dozens of trips for almost 8 freaking years – and it’s not broken! You’d think the cord would’ve stopped working at some point but nope! Still using the original.I just had to come back and review this AMAZING sound machine so that others know what a great buy it is since it truly lasts! Which you can’t say for most things nowadays. So if you’re on the fence, I HIGHLY recommend this one!It’s the perfect size for travel, has a timer function, and the sound range is incredible. You can make it super quiet or really loud. Plus there are so many different types of white noise and fan sounds to choose from. Honestly this is probably my most used item I’ve ever purchased!(Don’t mind my dusty machine in my picture – like I said, it’s old haha)

This thing really IS good
I already had three different sleep sound machines but was intrigued by the LectroFan because of the many great reviews and also because it makes a variety of fan noises, something that none of the other three do. It would seem to me that the monotonous and constant droning of a fan would be a good way to not only drown out noise but help me go to sleep. My wife snores (which is good that I don’t use my real name here) and I also thought that a fan noise would be more effective at masking the sound of snoring, than the other sounds that come on my other machines. I don’t see how some of those other sounds help you sleep anyway – instead they would drive me crazy so I would only use the rainfall sounds.Anyway, I sent for the LectroFan, and I tried it out. And.. it was defective. I would get static on all of the different fan noise variations, and sometimes the sound would cut out intermittently, and sometimes it just stopped altogether. This seemed due to the power cord, because jiggling it affected the sound. I was going to return it but then noticed one of the few one-star reviews described the same problem I had. And I noticed someone from LectroFan urged them to call so they could take care of the problem.That’s what I did – I called Lectrofan and am very pleased to say that the gentleman who answered the phone was very apologetic about my problem and right away offered to send me a new unit. Two days later a box arrived via USPS Priority Mail with a replacement unit, along with a prepaid postage label to return the defective unit. Now that’s excellent service!I plugged in the replacement and it worked fine. I am very happy with this product. There’s a good variety of fan noises (it also has white noise but I don’t use it), it is really easy to operate, and it can get plenty loud – much louder than I need it to be, but at least it does have that capability. I also like how compact it is. My other sleep sound machines are much larger.I find the fan noise to be very effective and helpful as a sleep assistant. It does a good job of masking sounds – like snoring.What I am most pleased about is the excellent support I got when I called about having a defective unit. I am definitely happy I made this purchase. I was sort of skeptical about there being so many glowing reviews, especially when the first one didn’t work right, but after having tried a proper one myself you can add me to the list of glowing reviews. It’s a good product.

Attention night shift workers… This product may save your sanity and will improve your sleep quality
First, let me say I have been very happy with the two Dohm Sound Conditioners that I also own and still use. They have saved my sleep and my sanity since July of 2013 when I started working night shift. I still rate them 5 stars. The LectroFan also has a steady stream of sound – NO LOOPING or sound cuts to otherwise disturb your sleep. Its a constant “whoosh” of steady sound that blocks out unwanted noise. The difference between the LectroFan and the Dohm is that the Dohm has a real fan inside, and the LectroFan is an electronic noise generator.Dec 2013 I moved into a rental in a multi unit condominium building – and once I got here I discovered that the hallways are undergoing a major renovation. Argh! I have to sleep during daytime. I needed to create a “sound curtain” of white noise ASAP to block out the construction noises (voices/saws/banging) out in the hallway so I can sleep during the daytime. The Dohm sound conditioners have been my first line of defense and continue to work great. I just needed something with more power. Enter the LectroFan. Place the unit where the annoying sound is originating from, turn it on, and prop it on its side so the speaker is facing toward you. The annoying sounds are masked completely in the “whoosh” of the white noise. It works. In the case of my problem here (the construction noise) I have placed the unit on a shelf on the side of the room where the noises are coming through the wall. Between the two Dohm units, the LectroFan, and my noise-reducing over the ear headphones, I have been able to successfully create a “cocoon” of sound that allows me to sleep even though there is a construction project going on in the hallway outside my door.There is a volume control button and the volume gets quite a bit louder than the Dohm sound conditioner. By louder I mean, way louder! If you prop the unit on its side, it will operate as a directional “sound curtain.” There are ten types of white noise (from warm, low end to sharp, high end) and ten fan types. I prefer the lower range of “warmer” sounds. They seem to make me sleepy fastest.The LectroFan offers varied levels and noises – which I was impressed with out of the box. I currently have it operating in my living room on the White Noise level 1, at a low volume level, which creates a very pleasant “warm” tone and blocks out annoying noises (dogs barking, cars honking, etc.) I know my Mom would like this very much and I am going to buy one for her too!
TLE –
I have been trying to find a white noise machine loud enough to drown out all noises, and finally the LectroFan device does that. Lots of options, a wide range of sound levels. I cannot recommend this enough if you are a light sleeper and need to drown out noises.

Es un aparato pequeño, que cabe sin estorbar en el escritorio o mesa de noche, pero su bocina es potente.Se puede conectar con un cable USB a la computadora o a un cargador de celular.Genera varias frecuencias de ruido blanco y simula sonidos de ventiladores, que ayudan a dormir o a concentrarse en un ambiente ruidoso, debido a que están tapando lo que suena alrededor.El sonido que produce no es música relajante ni nada es eso, es algo como un motor de avión, monótono y denso. Se puede decir que es algo como un desodorizante que se usa en el baño, que probablemente no es un perfume bonito, pero es fuerte, no es desagradable y su función es ocultar olores más feos.Obviamente si hay una apisonadora trabajando al lado o un escándalo muy fuerte, el dispositivo no va a poder tapar el ruido de este tipo, pero es muy recomendable para personas que quieren eliminar ruidos más tenues, sin embargo molestos, como televisión, voces, vecinos, perros etc.

Can’t rate this highly enough. I don’t know how this little machine manages to do it, but it successfully masks the noise from the neighbour’s TV through the poor insulation in the wall. On the very rare occasion now when the TV manages to wake me, I find I don’t fully wake, but just notch up the volume on the machine slightly and drop back to sleep. It’s taken away the stress of the situation. If you’ve ever spent several nights a week awake at 2am when you have to go to work the next morning, you’ll know what I mean. It has multiple choices of white noise and fan noise, but I just picked one and haven’t had to change since. I really wish I’d bought it years ago.Update June 2017Still working amazingly well. Getting full night’s sleep every night. Can’t believe the noises I used to hear have completely stopped since I bought this machine – but I don’t hear them and I sleep well. I would recommend it without hesitation.
