Physical Therapy for Cerebral Palsy
My four-year-old daughter is in physical therapy for cerebral palsy. Her physical therapist uses the BOSU ball in her therapy sessions, and my daughter loves it. It is great for developing her balance and for stretching the muscles in her foot and heel. My daughter loved it so much we bought one for her to use at home (with her physical therapist’s approval). She uses it for her physical therapy “homework”. It came assembled; we just used the included pump to inflate it, which was easy and fast. It was so easy that we overinflated it at first – instructions say it should be inflated to 8 inches tall with the dome side up or 6 1/2 inches with the dome side down. It is easy to carry or slide across our tile floor (there aren’t grips on the bottom so we need to get a mat to put it on). For safety, it is only for use standing on the ball part. The quality is great – super thick, sturdy construction and materials. We love it!!

Great for a small space; still sturdy and secure
Very happy with this smaller version of the Bosu Ball so far! It’s perfect for use in my smaller office space where I work out each morning. I highly recommend if you have a small area, as the size provides better maneuverability. The box was a bit damaged when it arrived but the ball is fine. Note that when you first get it you may need to pump it up a few times as the ball stretches (at least, I have done it twice and likely need to once more). The ball isn’t losing air it’s just adjusting. 🙂

Terribly disappointed
I was very excited to get this. I used one in a commercial gym years ago and loved it. Bosu has a good reputation and they make these in the US, which is important to me.I’m sorry to say I had to return this after 4 days of trying to get it to inflate. The included pump is trash and won’t stay in one piece, and I could NOT get the ball to inflate. So, I’m sending it back for a refund. Very disappointing.

Good size for home use, pump is pitifully cheap but effective and usable. Take time to just stand on it at first.
Gets at core muscles I didn’t know I had. Use feels challenging but good. Although the pump is laughably cheap it worked fine for me and I inflated this BOSU very quickly. However poorly designed inflation port and needle make inflation more difficult than necessary, especially because getting the right amount of inflation is a trial-and-error process. Cheap pump but crude connectors are main problem. The booklet that comes with this BOSU has almost no actual info about how to use this, so google and check YouTube for how to use. Simple exercises — e.g., squats, lunges — you may already do become a new challenge with new results.Unless your balance and core are already just super, before you start real exercises on this BOSU take some time/sessions to just stand on it, move your body around and get used to it. Music can help a lot. This size (rather than the larger model) is very appropriate for home use and it’s just as useful as the larger versions available at the gym. One star off for awkward inflation fittings and cheap pump.

GREAT PRODUCT. EXPERT LEVEL EXERCIZE ABILITY REQUIRED. BALANCE and SAFETY ARE of UTMOST IMPORTANCE.
UPDATE: 11/27/15 – The small diameter is not ideal for Pilates. I would recommend the largest for pilates on the Bosu. This small Bosu is better for vertical workouts or very petite individuals. ….Original Review: This is a nice quality Bosu. Works really well for my Intensity Workout and is easy to store and protect from my cats by simply draping my yoga mat over it when not in use. I do, however, need to use a folded up yoga/sticky mat underneat, as it can slide when doing front lunges on a carpet. No fault of the Bosu, just something I learned with certain moves. The sticky mat keeps it nice and secure and safe. The Bosu is very very challenging and takes a few weeks to master in terms of safety and being able to execute moves. My balance has increased to a degree I’ve never achieved before and I’m pretty stoked about that. I’m also able to do my entire intensity workouts, every move, after only two weeks of being a newbie. This is a smaller Bosu, so if you are tall or have a wide stance, you may want to buy the larger Bosu. I’m 5’6″ and struggled a bit with it at first but realized it was because I was so bad at it. Hahah. I’m now able to balance on it and feel its’ a good size for me.

Durable and Versatile
It is exactly as described. It is durable and is the right size so that both my son who is five and myself can use it easily. I have had it a few weeks and it has retained the air and it was easy to inflate. I like that it was a little less money than the larger ones, but still can be used in a similar way.

great for physical therapy
I broke the same ankle twice last year. During my second round of physical therapy, I purchased this item to help me do PT at home. I was using the ball at my PT sessions. 7 months after the second break, I still use this BOSU ball every day. As you age, you have to work on balance and building up muscle. THis ball is great for that. You can also work your upper body and arms with the BOSU ball. I LOVE this BOSU ball.

I’m 5’2″, petite build, narrow shouldersThe 50 cm model is EXACTLY what my workout needed! I’ve long used the original Bosu at the gym but found them cumbersome for exercises with the Bosu in my hands. The 50 cm smaller size helps me achieve better form, is easier to maneuver, and I even love the blue / lime colour combo! All the same materials, high quality, and function of the original. Easy set up – was using it within 5 min of opening the box. Highly recommend!

I love Bosu products. Just received my new Bosu, pumping it up and hoping there are no leaks etc and that it stays pumped. I had my last Bosu for more than 10 years so I’m hoping this is another 10 years and longer for this particular product. Of course I can purchase more Bosu products as I have over the years.

El producto excelente, lo único que considero que hace falta especificar es que hay un pago contraentrega por gastos aduanales.

I’m loving the more compact size of this bosu. It’s easier to find places to store it, and it has all the same functionality of the full sized one. My child also loves to use it.
