From #1 New York Times bestselling author Freida McFadden comes a story of sinister secrets…
Quinn Alexander has committed an unthinkable crime.
To avoid spending her life in prison, Quinn makes a run for it. She leaves behind her home, her job, and her family. She grabs her passport and heads for the northern border before the police can discover what she’s done.
But when an unexpected snowstorm forces her off the road, Quinn must take refuge at the broken-down, isolated Baxter Motel. The handsome and kindly owner, Nick Baxter, is only too happy to offer her a cheap room for the night.
Unfortunately, the Baxter Motel isn’t the quiet, safe haven it seemed to be. The motel has a dark and disturbing past. And in the dilapidated house across the way, the silhouette of Nick’s ailing wife is always at the window. Always watching.
In the morning, Quinn must leave the motel. She’ll pack up her belongings and get back on the road to freedom.

SIX SIDES TO THE STORY
This was another great read, from Mrs. McFadden! The suspense had me going around and around. This author has soooo many good books and it makes it difficult for me, to choose which one I want to read next.PLOT: Quinn is in a terrible marriage, to an abusive man (Derek). Of course, their courtship didn’t start out that way. He came from a wealthy and powerful family and he wined and dined her. After they were married, the true Derek comes out and one day they have an altercation and she winds up killing him. She runs, but she doesn’t get very far, because of a snow blizzard. She stops at an out of the way motel, that has seen better days. This is the place in which a multitude of things happen: Infidelity, Murder, Betrayal, Secrecy, Lies and other suspenseful things. As my title says, there are six sides to the story:QUINN – Who runs away from the crime scene and is trying to leave the state. She figures that the only person that she will miss and will miss her is, her sister (Claudia) who raised her. She wants to confide in Claudia, but can’t. Claudia knows her sister and if anyone can find her…It’s Claudia. Quinn (who was a Banker) has lived a life of luxury, while married to her husband and now…She’s homeless and on the run.NICK – He is part owner of the shady motel (with his wife). His name is involved in a murder (which took place at the motel), years ago. He loves his wife (Rosie), who is wheelchair bound and he tends to her every need, while trying to manage a rundown motel and its occupants.ROSALIE – She’s Nick’s wife and she has all but given up on herself, her dreams, her health and her marriage. What else is there to do all day, but to play “I Spy”. There’s nothing else to do…Or is there??GRETA – She actually lives at the shady motel and she’s sort of a recluse. She loves telling people’s future (Fortune Telling). She adores Nick and his wife. She knows a lot about what is going on in and around the motel.ROB – He’s Claudia (Quinn’s sister) husband. He’s a plumber and a hard working one. But, no matter how hard or long he works, he can never get ahead. His marriage to Claudia is not ideal and the cracks are showing.CLAUDIA – She’s worried about her sister and is determined to find her. She figures that, she can do a better job than the police…Because she knows her sister. Will Claudia find Quinn, before the police will??

A page turner:
I have rated this book a four star. The characters were unique, interesting and odd. I just love the twist and turns not knowing what’s going to happen next. It’s a fun, who done it kind of book. It’s slow at first and than bang it starts to build up you can’t stop reading because you want to know what’s going to happen next. It’s definitely a page turner that’s for sure.

edge of my seat
I started this book on my breaks at work and was mid chapter about 50% of the way through when I had to put it down to help a customer. I went home and read the rest in one sitting! Absolutely thrilling! I never know what Freida McFaddens characters are going to do next!Spoilers:I snickered when I saw that Rob got his own chapter. I thought “oh neat, a side character is going to give us a little needed information, but it can’t be that significant” boy was I wrong 😂WOW.I really felt Rosalie’s pain throughout her chapters. I was so delighted that she decided to get back up and continue her dreams. I guess she just needed a wake up call. 😬The love between Rosalie and Nick was so raw, pure and felt so real. Especially with what she was going through, putting a tear in the relationship. But he wasn’t giving up.Greta was a great character! Couldn’t believe her ending! I’m also glad she visited Rosalie often.I really thought I skipped a page toward the end there. I thought the character was missing an event in the timeline, nope. That really got me.Thanks Frieda for another amazing book. And I’m on to the next.

Twisty and Entertaining, But Not My Favorite McFadden
Do Not Disturb was a good story—fast-paced, easy to read, and full of Freida McFadden’s signature twists. She always keeps you guessing, and this one definitely had some fun surprises. That said, it wasn’t my favorite of hers. I found Quinn, the main character, a bit too ditzy at times, which made it harder to connect with her. Still, it’s an entertaining read with a twisty plot that fans of Freida will enjoy

QUICK READ!!
Spoiler Alert!!!! Loved the book! Fast read. I gasped towards the end of the book because in a million years I would not have picked one of the characters as being the culprit. I did figure out the other culprit

touch of humor
For a murder mystery the humor is amazing—or I’m just a bit demented. Loved Quinn! To be honest some of the characters are very 3-dimensional which is imperative in a good narrative!

A Solid Thriller
I had read a few heavy and serious non-fiction books in a row and I needed a thriller I could lose myself in for a bit. I’ve read a few of Freida McFadden’s books and enjoyed them so I figured I’d give this a try. When I read the opening sentence (“While I’m washing the blood off my hands in the kitchen sink, the doorbell rings.”) I knew I’d picked the right book. The plot here is pretty far fetched but you have to accept that with these types of books. McFadden jumps from person to person so you get the perspective of Quinn, the wife who killed her husband in self defense, then Rosalie, the woman whose husband runs the motel where Quinn stays as she tries to flee the police, then Claudia, Quinn’s sister who is trying desperately (maybe too desperately) to find her sister before the police do. The motel where Quinn happens to hole up is known as the Murder Motel because someone had been killed there a few years ago. That adds to the suspense and mystery here. I’ll say no more so as not to ruin the plot for any future readers who may, like myself, just want a quick page turner to lose themselves in for a little bit.I gave this 4 out of 5 stars. McFadden’s not the greatest writer ever but she does know how to spin a yarn.

Do Not Disturb is classic Freida McFadden: darkly addictive, filled with jaw-dropping twists, and impossible to put down. If you’re looking for a fast-paced psychological thriller that will keep you reading late into the night, this is the one.Plot Overview (No Spoilers)The story follows Quinn Alexander, a woman on the run after committing a terrible crime. She checks into a remote motel in the middle of nowhere—hoping to disappear. But as the hours tick by, Quinn realizes she may not be alone… and that the motel has secrets of its own. Who’s watching her? And is she truly the most dangerous person there? Why It’s a 5-Star ReadFreida McFadden nails suspense. The tension builds with every chapter, the atmosphere is perfectly creepy, and the pacing is lightning fast. The plot is layered with secrets and reveals that make you rethink everything you just read.Quinn is a complex, morally grey character, and you’re never quite sure whether to root for her or fear her. The motel setting adds a claustrophobic edge that makes the story even more unsettling—and the twists come hard and fast, especially in the final act.Writing StyleMcFadden’s writing is sharp, concise, and completely immersive. Her short chapters and cliffhanger endings make this a true one-sitting read. She knows how to plant clues and mislead readers in the most entertaining way.Final VerdictDo Not Disturb is thrilling, clever, and full of the kind of shocking moments that fans of Freida McFadden live for. It’s a wild ride from start to finish, and just when you think you’ve figured it out—you haven’t.😍 Five stars, without hesitation. Suspense lovers: you’re in for a treat.

Good, easy and fast read. It’s a short book and as always, you don’t expect the end. However, the author keeps portraying foreign characters as unable to use contractions when they speak, amongst other things, but whatever. It was worth the time.

Just starting my reading era and prefer simply written books, this was overly simple. Wasn’t a fan of chapters jumping between characters after the main story. The ending/twist seemed a bit rushed, I actually rolled my eyes and thought that particular chapter was poorly written.

Freida McFadden has done it again! Do Not Disturb is another addictive, twisty thriller that kept me up way too late turning pages. From the very first chapter, I was hooked — the tension builds so perfectly, and just when you think you’ve figured out what’s happening, another shocking twist comes out of nowhere. The pacing is fast, the writing is sharp, and every chapter ends in a way that makes you need to keep reading. I loved how unpredictable it was — I honestly didn’t see that ending coming at all, and it was such a satisfying payoff.McFadden has a real talent for crafting stories that are both darkly entertaining and full of surprises. If you enjoy thrillers with unreliable characters, secrets, and jaw-dropping moments, this one is a must-read.Another 5-star read from one of my favourite authors!
