Very informative and not written by professionals using medical terms.
I got this book about 2 hrs ago. Already on chapter 7. Can’t put it down. Easy read. No doctoral from a psychologist. Just a regular guy who been thru a lot and has given me a lot of answers and hope. Everyone should read his book. It’s very interesting and informative. I plan on using his recommendations as it sounds promising

Straightforward, easy read, very enlightening
Okay, so hands down, this is probably the best mindfulness book I’ve ever picked up. Seriously, it doesn’t just ramble on about why you should be present or stop overthinking. It actually gives you real-deal steps and little practice exercises to follow along with. So it kind of feels like a friend is guiding you through it, instead of just lecturing you. Totally recommend it if you want something practical and easygoing.

The most important aspect of mindfulness is the focus of this simple, yet highly effective, book
From my reading and practicing of mindfulness, I am left with the idea that there are a few basic tenets of mindfulness that include meditation and attentiveness to our daily lives. The practice of meditation I feel is a separate approach to becoming a calmer person. But, for me, the hardest thing is learning how to be present. It is also the most rewarding. Most people can learn how to meditate effectively. Learning the art of living a highly conscious life is one is always something that can be improved on but one that can offer substantial benefit from the start. The Magic of Mindful Awareness focuses on that which the author lays out in simple terms and offers ideas on how just simply being present brings us the greatest amount of happiness. In the mountains of offerings accompanying the huge popularity of mindfulness, this basic skill is one that is both life-changing and one that is timeless in how it has had lifelong promise for the practitioners of Buddhism throughout the centuries.

Life changing
This book is very straightforward in presenting how to establish a mindful self-awareness practice. I have what is termed. “monkey brain”. After reading Matt,s book the first time, I have slowly been able to see more clearly and to be present. I am on my second reading. I love the tracking worksheet. The guided mindfulness exercises are great. Highly recommend.Jerry B

Really good read. Inspiring and insightful. I strongly recommend this book for everyone who understands that one of the keys to happy and successful life is to “know thyself”. Matt Tenney does an outstanding job of explaining how the human mind can be trained to achieve peace and tranquility. You will be blessed by the words in this book and glad that you read it.
