SO FAR – FABULOUS!
This is our 1st airfryer. After scouring a half dozen websites with their own airfryer ratings (food network, food & wine, etc.), I decided upon this one. It was consistently a top suggested product on all of these website. We have an Instantpot, which we have used with great success for years, so I felt confident purchasing their airfryer. A key standout (and unique) feature of this model is the stainless steel cooking container. I, personally, find this to be a higher quality material than plastic.So far, we’ve made fried paneer cheese cubes, breaded mushrooms, breaded zucchini, roasted potatoes, broccoli, green beans, Trader Joe’s frozen tempura cauliflower, and a medley of sweet potato, onion and Brussel sprouts. Everything has turned out perfectly, and fast! I am confident that all of the other things we make will follow this precedent.SIZE: This particular unit was out of stock in 6qt at the time of my purchase. I was uncertain about whether the 4qt would be large enough, but once I had it in front me, it was easier to visualize. The 4qt cooks enough food for 2-3 people (ex. 3 chicken breasts or pieces of fish can easily fit).SHAPE: During my research, I saw that there are 2 main shapes of an airfryer container: 1) Tall and deep 2) Short and wide. In thinking about the foods that I intend to use this for, I like the short and wide containers because they allow foods to spread out more evenly versus being stacked. This unit is the short and wide shape, and I love it!EASE OF USE: I am familiar with the Instantpot, and the turn dial to select time, temperature, etc. functions are the same with this. It is not a complicated unit, with just a few basic buttons. And, when you set the total amount of cooking time, the unit will automatically give a beep when it is time to toss the container’s content mid-way through. The container has a tray with little silicone feet that keep it in place while you dump the container’s contents onto your serving dish.CLEANING: Remove the tray; clean. Wipe out the cavity. It’s very simple. The people who’ve complained about this are likely overcooking, putting messy types of foods, or leaving it to sit too long before cleaning.SMELL: Many people noted a plastic smell while cooking. Yes, there was a little bit of an odor while cooking for the first few times of use, but I no longer smell it.COOKING: Follow the directions on the recipes and/or back of food packages with airfryer specific directions. You cannot go wrong. And, it preheats within minutes! It cooks foods so fast!DURABILITY: Our Instantpot is going strong after 10+ years. Just keep it clean and take of it; use common sense when using it. I do not anticipate we will have any problems. However, I am also realistic. Some appliances just do not last forever.UPDATE (9/28/25): We continue to enjoy this product, making a variety of different foods fast! We have not experienced any problems of any kind. We highly recommend this air fryer!

Love this machine! Better than convection/air fryer we had before. Instant Pot is a good brand.
I had one of those expensive convection/toaster/bake/air fryer for the longest time. It was huge and so annoying. I finally found this Instant Pot Vortex, which is a good size for two people. I have the Instant Pot Pressure Cooker and love that, too. Less counter space and better results. It’s easy to use with a good display. I got some parchment inserts to keep the basket clean. Just don’t insert them until after warm-up! There is a larger capacity model for a bigger family. It’s a good brand.

Easy to use, easy cleanup!
Writing this review after almost 2 months of use. I don’t write reviews often, but I do like this air fryer and if you’re anything like me, you read reviews to help guide your decision. I get nothing for my review. Just thought it could be helpful to someone else. I waited a looong time before breaking down and getting an air fryer. Why? I am no longer sure of that answer. Haha. Truth is I’ve been so disappointed by many small countertop appliances, its not high on my list to spend the money on them. My adult children kept on me about how much I’d like having an air fryer, so I finally “bit the bullet” and purchased one. After a lot of consideration I chose the 4qt Instant Vortex Plus, and I am SO happy I did!! LOVE this thing. Likely you will too! Not only for the quick way in which it heats up your food, but the many options and variations to do so that this air fryer gives you. Its easy to learn and SUPER easy to clean. I live in an apt and don’t have a lot of counter space, so size was something I needed to consider. The 4qt is a great size and not at all bulky. I appreciate the sturdiness of this air fryer. It’s quiet and I was even able to turn off all the beeping. That’s a thoughtful option for those of us who don’t need the beeps. My absolute favorite thing is being able to heat up leftovers without turning on the oven when I am already fighting hot temps and running an AC to keep my place somewhat cool. And hello! Leftover pizza and eggrolls are especially good when heated up in the airfryer rather than the microwave!! Why did I hold out for so long??

Perfect size 1-2 people
This mini air fryer is perfect size for 1-2 person cooking. Holds 2-3 chicken breasts depending on size. Love using for bacon in morning for easy cleanup without grease splatter. Pictures shown were cooked 7 minutes at 400. Cooks food crispy with preheat function that alarms when time to add food. Allows for temp and time control to help prevent turning.
