Husband cant stop raving about them
I got these for ny husband last year for Christmas and ever since, he can’t stop saying how much he loves them. He uses them primarily when cutting down large fish. They came oiled ans sharp, and the leather sheath to protect the knives and your hands are fantastic. He says, “almost cut off hand. 10/10,” haha. But in all seriousness, he is really enjoying them. He does a lot of fish filtering and breaking down of all different species. These obviously aren’t as flexible as a filet knife and don’t offer quite as much precision for small fish, but are fantastic for those larger fish.

Easy on Arthitis Hands
Beautiful Knife set for a great priceThough mine did not come sharp out of the box. Couldn’t even cut a tomato without me having to sharpen all 3. Now they cut like a dream. The leather sheaths are a nice touch and great for transporting the knives to cookout gatherings and private parties.I do wish the blades were 2 to 3 inches longer. But thats my personal preferance.They have good balance a weight. And are comfortable to hold even if you have arthritis like I do.

Great Knives for the Price
I really like these knives but there are pros and cons to keep in mind.PROs- They are big, hefty, well balanced, and are easy to control whether cutting up a chicken or finely chopping garlic. I like the finger holes when doing fine chopping or if the handle gets slick.- They are very sharp (blades and points) and have held their edge under normal use (cutting meat and veggies)- I like the sheaths, not high end but they work very well as I store the knives in a drawer with other knives. I’m not sure how they would stand up to heavy outdoor use.CONs- These knives are large and have heft. My wife has much smaller hands than me and is not as comfortable using them.- This is NOT a matching set. All 3 sheaths are different and the wood / stain on all 3 handles are different as well as the hammered pattern on the blades.They are different from standard kitchen knives so take the time to practice using them and get familiar with how to handle them safely. I actually poked myself with the chef knife a couple of times, but once I gained some proficiency with them, I’ve been very pleased.
