Useful book on slow cooking
Yesterday I bought The Super Easy Crock Pot Cookbook to understand and learn how to do slow cooking, and I was pleasantly surprised. It’s probably not a book you read from cover to cover, but rather one you refer to depending on what you want to make. After 20 minutes, I realized I had to start slow cooking immediately, and I bought a basic model slow cooker right away. It feels so much easier than doing slow cooking on the stovetop, which I’ve done before.The recipes are truly easy to follow, they don’t require any strange ingredients, and you can adapt the dishes to your own taste. The first recipe I made with my new slow cooker was a variation of Beef Stroganoff, since I didn’t have all the ingredients at home. The result was excellent, even though I’ll add more spices next time.I especially like that each recipe in the book has a photo, and that the book is nicely and clearly laid out. I often make chili stews with meat, and those will turn out great, but the best part of the book is the vegetarian options included, which I’ll likely start making more often.If there’s one thing I wish the book had, it’s that the recipes should also be in the metric system, which most people use. It’s truly a great book for anyone who wants to start or continue with slow cooking in an easy way.

I love this crockpot book. It gives several recipes along with pictures. Soups and stews are very popular to make in the crockpot, so I’m looking forward to trying out some new recipes. I was surprised knowing you can make shepherds pie and some desserts in the crockpot too. I’ve never tried that before. This book also includes a 28 day meal plan for your convenience.

I have a slow cooker and pressure cooker at home: with only this book I am covered for life of recipes. This cookbook is really vast. Every recipe has a picture of how it should look like, a necessary reference for a newbie like me! I already tried a few of these and I have to say, even if the result didn’t look as professional as in the picture is was really tasty and enjoyable to eat. I surprised myself I was capable to cook such culinary treats. Let me tell you my favourite ones: Low-Carb Beef Stroganoff (just melts in your mouth), Cabbage and Sausage Soup (comfy food for fresh weather), and the Honey Mustard Chicken (this was really divine!). At the end of the book you can also refer to build your own meal plans, and also it contains some more tips for crock pot cooking, not to miss.
