    Great comfortable and durable socks.
Wrightsock seems to taken over from an older product [early 1980’s] Double Lay-R that I used to wear. Back then, as now, they were the best solution to hiking blisters than I know of short of Moleskin on the “hotspots” that developed hiking. Routinely wear them daily now, not just for hiking. Comfortable, no chafing, excellent at wicking perspiration to keep feet dry when hiking. Have tried marino wool version and they are really good in winter for warmth without bulk — Coolmax inner layer for smooth softness and outer wool layer provides warmth — can strongly recommend this version also. The anti-blister properties arise out of the independent, double layer construction. The inner layer stays with the foot and the outer layer stays with the boot, thus the relative motion that takes place between the foot and the boot — the slippage that causes chafing and heat inducing friction — happens between the two fabric layers saving your skin. I have always found this brand extremely durable, just like the older Double Lay-R brand. Personally, I’ve never had a quality problem with them, even with a lot of hiking and daily wear.

    Excellent wicking & snug
These are well made socks! They fit well, no excess to slide around & cause blisters. No rough seams. My feet stay cool & dry!

Warm, comfortable socks, when you can’t wear wool.
These are a nice weight sock for hiking, walking, running, or relaxing. I bought these initially at REI but, have been unable to find them in a store for several years. After trying multiple other brands of winter socks which were too thick and too warm, I finally found Wrightsocks again. These socks have held up really well for several years. I wanted to buy more for daily winter wear. Wool causes severe itching and rash as do other brands. These socks stay warm even when wet or damp but dry quickly and no itching! Not only are they great socks, they are made of recycled materials! What’s not to love?!

They really do help prevent blisters!
I have a bad heel where the doctor had to remove a tumor, and along with it, my natural heel pad. He replaced it with skin from my arm, which never callouses, so I am very prone to getting blisters, even with custom shoe inserts. Wrightsock is the only brand I buy now because their socks really do help me avoid blisters MOST of the time. . .certainly better than any other type of sock. These socks are especially nice because they are contoured to fit the foot very well and they don’t scrunch or fold up, which causes blisters. I think they’re better than their previous CoolMesh II Crew running socks. They are a good thickness without being too thick.

Decent socks, but not quite my go-to
I gave these a try as a performance sock for both workouts and casual wear. They’re lighter than I expected—not overly thick—but still very breathable and comfortable right out of the package. They fit well and don’t slip, which I appreciate during training. However, the durability could be better. After a few washes, they started to show some wear, and I don’t think they’ll hold up as long as some other brands I’ve used. Personally, I still prefer Drymax for long-lasting performance, but these are a decent alternative if you’re looking for breathability and a soft feel.

    Best Sock
I have many pairs of Wrightsock Unisex Coolmax II in crew length and quarter/ankle length. I use them mostly when I travel and do a lot of walking. Just the right amount of cushioning, smoothness, and “coolness” in my walking shoes. I was wearing a good, brand-name wool sock, but find the Wrightsock Coolmax to be less irritating on my skin, less ‘bunching’ around the toes, and no blisters. I wear a size medium to fit my size 8/39 shoes in the Unisex sizing. When they are available, I try to get the Coolmax II in the women’s specific sizing. I think they conform more to the shape of a women’s foot.

    Comfortable yet not too thick
Been a hiker for 25 years and finally dialed in a pair of socks that work well for me. These socks are light enough so not too warm (although all socks feel warm to me when hiking in boots in late spring + summer) and provide good enough cushion for me. The built in liner gives me a little more protection against blisters. Because these are not thick socks, I have more space in my boot which my feet appreciate. The socks also don’t fit too tight which my pinch corn appreciates.

  8. AnotherPokerGuy

Love the socks, need to be more durable
Best socks I’ve worn yet for hiking as far as feel. But the outer sock had worn through to the inner liner very quickly and by mile 50 or so had broke through entirely. Socks are consumable items but that is awful quick for as expensive as these are.

  9. Cliente Kindle

Great double layer sock. Perfect for hiking. Seem a bit expensive but they’re good. For the price, I hope they last well.
